He Spoke Not a Word: A Sacred Reflection for Easter

ree

There’s a silence in the story of Jesus that speaks louder than any sermon ever could.

Through the pain… through the torture… through the weight of a cross He did not deserve—He spoke not a mumbling word.

He suffered in silence.

And yet, from that silence came one of the most powerful things ever spoken:

“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

Even in the midst of agony, abandonment, betrayal, and unbearable physical pain—He didn’t curse. He didn’t complain. He didn’t call for rescue. Instead, He prayed.

Not for Himself.

But for us.

That voice—yes, that voice—still echoes through time. Through generations. Through every Sunday sermon and every whispered prayer at 3 a.m. when your heart feels too heavy to carry alone. It’s the voice that calms storms, breaks chains, and speaks life into dry bones.

It’s still speaking today.

And it’s speaking to you.

Jesus didn’t go through the cross for Himself. He was perfect—blameless, sinless, full of truth and grace. Yet He willingly bore every strike of the whip, every nail, every insult… because of love.

Because of you.

You were the reason He stood when He could have sat down. The reason He pressed forward when He could have walked away. The reason He gave His final breath while forgiving the very ones who hurt Him.

We are the ones He died for. We are the ones He stood for. We are the ones He LOVES.

It’s easy to get swept up in the pageantry of Easter—the pastel suits, the dresses, the baskets, the services. But I invite you to pause this time. To truly reflect.

Ask yourself, gently and honestly:

Where am I in my journey?

Have I received this love, or have I just admired it from a distance?

What am I holding onto that He already carried to the cross for me?

Let this be a sacred moment.

A moment where you don’t need to say much—just be still and let His love wash over you like the quiet after the storm.

He’s still whispering forgiveness.

Still offering grace.

Still choosing you—again and again.

Not because you earned it.

But because you are loved beyond comprehension.

That is Easter.

That is the cross.

And that is the miracle of love that never stays silent.

If this spoke to your heart, share it with someone who needs to hear the voice of love today. Or subscribe for more soul-deep encouragement.

Word's can't describe the revelation of the pen that you are sharing so I will just take your blog advice and keep silent like Jesus. However, I would like for you to read this blog Sunday instead of "AI" keep your focus on "EI"--Encourage and Inspire with the pen of revelation.
