A Mother's Purpose: For Every Woman Still Becoming

Today, we celebrate mothers—but if I can be real with you for a second, I want to do something a little different.
This blog is for every woman.
Yes, you—the mama in the thick of it, the woman who’s longed to be a mother, the one who mothered without birthing, and even the woman still trying to figure out what this whole nurturing, soul-carrying, heart-holding thing is all about. This message? It’s for all of us.
Because motherhood isn’t just a title. It’s a spirit. It’s a way of life. It’s a divine design that shows up in our compassion, our resilience, and the way we love—sometimes loudly, sometimes silently, but always deeply.
And I know… some days feel like too much. Some days we’re overwhelmed, overextended, and underappreciated. Some days we barely recognize the woman in the mirror, and we need to whisper to ourselves, “It won’t always be like this.”
Let me tell you—God sees you. Even in your quiet moments. Even when you feel like you’re not enough, He says you are more than enough.
Let’s go back to the beginning—like Genesis beginning.
“Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.” – Genesis 3:20
All. Not some. Not just the ones she birthed or raised—but all the living. That’s purpose. That’s calling. That’s a divine assignment from the jump.
Eve didn’t get everything right. And neither do we.
She made some choices that changed history. She experienced heartache, the pain of losing a child, and the weight of carrying a story that started with beauty and quickly collided with brokenness.
Sound familiar?
Sis, we’ve all had our Eve seasons. The ones where we messed up, lost our way, or felt the sting of disappointment. But just like Eve, we kept going. We kept praying. We kept showing up. We kept mothering, even with trembling hands.
Because that’s what women do.
Whether we have babies or not, we nurture dreams, protect hearts, plant seeds, and speak life into places that forgot how to bloom. We’re mothers of movements. Mothers of ideas. Mothers of healing.
And don’t get it twisted—we may have a few scars, but baby, we also carry grace.
So if this Mother’s Day finds you in joy, in grief, in between, or in your own lane altogether—know this:
You are still becoming.
You are still walking in purpose.
You are still loved by the God who saw Eve’s worth before she ever gave birth.
And He sees yours too.
So take a moment today to breathe, reflect, and remind yourself:
You are more than your mistakes.
More than your titles.
More than what’s been lost or what’s yet to come.
You are God’s daughter.
A nurturer. A warrior. A woman with a divine assignment.
And today, I celebrate you.
If this spoke to your heart, share it with a friend or subscribe for more soul-deep encouragement.
