The Last Blog of the Year—And I See You

The last blog of the year is always a little bittersweet for me. Not because of fireworks or countdowns or shiny dresses waiting in the closet—but because it means something far deeper. It means we are still here. Together. Breathing. Navigating this thing called life, one day at a time.
For some, this last day of the year comes with plans, noise, laughter, and celebration. And I love that for you—truly. But if I’m honest, I’ve never been the big-celebration type. I’m more of a quiet soul. A sit-with-my-thoughts kind of woman. I celebrate with reflection, with stillness, with gratitude tucked softly into my heart. No confetti required.
And today, before anything else, I want to say thank you.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for trusting me with a few minutes of your time and a corner of your heart.
If you are still here reading this last blog of the year, I need you to pause for just a moment—because I want to stand up and give you a round of applause.
Seriously.
The fact that you are here means we made it through another year together. For such a time as this.
Life in 2025… whew.
It came with moments of joy that surprised me—and heartaches that sat heavy and lingered longer than I expected. Some days felt hopeful and full. Other days felt quiet, uncertain, and painfully honest. And today, if I’m being real with you, my heart feels heavy. But even in that heaviness, I can see hope peeking through the cracks of my future.
There were many moments this year when I wanted to give up Tonyelle Speaks. More times than I like to admit. Days when I questioned if it mattered. If anyone was reading. If the words placed on my heart were landing anywhere beyond my screen.
And then… a text would come.
Or someone would stop me and say, “That blog blessed me.”
Or “I needed that.”
And just like that, hope would tap me on the shoulder and remind me why I started in the first place.
I may not see every word read. I may never know how far these words travel. But I’ve learned something important along the way: people are hungry for encouragement. They are longing to be seen. They are carrying things they don’t always talk about. And sometimes, all it takes is one voice saying, “You’re not alone.”
This isn’t an easy life to live.
Not these days.
The trials feel heavier. The pressure feels stronger. And some seasons feel downright devastating. But I’ve made a choice—one I keep making, even when it’s hard—not to give up. To keep pressing. To keep walking through storms, heartaches, disappointments, and unanswered questions with my head lifted just enough to see the light ahead.
And today, I want you to know this:
I’m here. Right here with you.
If this last day of the year feels heavy for you—while others are preparing to celebrate—I see you. If you’re ending the year tired, worn down, or holding back tears instead of a toast, I see you. And I need you to hear me clearly when I say this:
You’ve got this.
And it won’t always be like this.
The next year holds chapters we haven’t written yet. New pages waiting for your name at the top. Yes, there will be moments that test you. Moments that make you want to quit, sit down, or throw your hands up and say, “I’m done.” But we are not called to lay down and give up. We are called to rise—sometimes quietly, sometimes slowly—but always intentionally.
So I’m encouraging you today:
Keep going.
Press through.
Breathe through whatever life has thrown your way.
And remind yourself that you are still standing for a reason.
I see you.
And more importantly—God sees you.
He knows you. He created you. He understands every tear, every sigh, every unspoken prayer.
That’s why, even when it feels hard, we stretch.
We choose to smile—not for others, but for ourselves.
We show up—not to impress, but to honor the life still flowing within us.
This last blog of the year isn’t about endings.
It’s about acknowledgment.
About honoring how far you’ve come.
About recognizing your strength, even when you don’t feel strong.
And as we step forward—one breath, one day, one page at a time—know this: you are not walking into the next year unseen or alone.
I’m here.
Still encouraging.
Still believing.
Still speaking life.
And I’ll be right here with you as the next chapter begins.
Let’s Pray About It
God,
Thank You for carrying us through this year—through the joy, the pain, the victories, and the valleys. Thank You for every reader, every heart, every soul still standing today. For those who feel heavy, tired, or unsure as this year closes, wrap them in Your peace. Remind them that You see them, You know them, and You are not finished with them yet. Give us strength to keep going, courage to face what’s ahead, and grace to breathe through every moment. We trust You with what was, what is, and what’s to come.
Amen.
If this spoke to your heart, share it with a friend or subscribe for more soul-deep encouragement.
