You Are God's Sprinkle of Light

The other morning during my quiet time, I heard something that settled deep in my spirit. It wasn't loud or dramatic. It was one of those moments where the Lord speaks so clearly that you know the words didn't come from your own thoughts.

He said:

"Darkness is running rampant throughout the earth, but I have sprinkled My light throughout the earth like salt seasoning the earth. When all My sprinkles speak up and open their mouths and say what I say, the light will outshine the darkness and drive it out. Don't be afraid to speak, especially when I have given it to you, because you are part of My sprinkle of light."

I sat there for a moment and just smiled because of the picture He painted.

Have you ever seasoned a meal? You don't dump the entire container into one corner of the dish. You sprinkle it. A little here. A little there. Before long, every bite has been touched by the seasoning.

That's exactly what God has done with His people.

He didn't place all of His light in one church, one city, one preacher, one ministry, or one platform. He scattered His light everywhere. Into homes. Into workplaces. Into classrooms. Into hospitals. Into grocery stores. Into neighborhoods. Into boardrooms. Into families.

He sprinkled His children throughout the earth.

Sometimes we think we have to have thousands of followers before our voice matters. We think someone else is more qualified, more eloquent, or more influential.

But light has never needed permission to shine.

The smallest candle changes the atmosphere of a dark room. Darkness never overpowers light. Light always pushes darkness back.

Maybe that's why the enemy works so hard to convince believers to stay quiet.

"If I speak, what if no one listens?"

"If I share what God placed on my heart, what if someone disagrees?"

"What if I don't have the right words?"

Can I encourage you today?

God isn't asking you to manufacture a message. He's asking you to repeat His.

Moses felt unqualified.

Jeremiah believed he was too young.

Gideon thought he was the least.

Yet every one of them discovered that when God gives the words, He also provides the strength to carry them.

Your responsibility isn't to change hearts. That's the Holy Spirit's job.

Your responsibility is simply to speak.

The world doesn't need more opinions. It needs more people willing to echo the heart of God.

Think about salt for a moment. Jesus called us the salt of the earth. Salt preserves. Salt adds flavor. Salt changes everything it touches, even though you rarely notice the individual grains.

Maybe that's the beauty of obedience.

You may never know the impact of one encouraging conversation.

One prayer.

One text message.

One Bible verse shared.

One testimony.

One invitation to church.

One simple "Jesus loves you."

One moment of choosing kindness over criticism.

Those little moments are the sprinkles God uses to season a hurting world.

Don't underestimate what God can do through your simple obedience.

The darkness around us can feel overwhelming. Every day there seems to be another heartbreaking headline, another division, another reason to lose hope.

But God has never been intimidated by darkness.

He has already placed His answer throughout the earth.

His answer is His people.

You.

Me.

Ordinary people carrying an extraordinary Light.

Maybe today God isn't asking you to preach a sermon.

Maybe He's asking you to encourage the coworker who looks discouraged.

Maybe He's asking you to pray with someone.

Maybe He's asking you to finally write that devotional, record that video, make that phone call, send that message, or speak the truth in love.

Whatever He has placed in your heart, don't keep it locked away because of fear.

Fear silences.

Faith speaks.

If God has given you something to say, someone is waiting to hear it.

Tonyelle's Take

Stop waiting until you feel ready.

If God whispered it to your heart, He already knew your voice was enough.

You don't have to be the brightest light in the room. You simply have to shine where He placed you.

Remember, you're not trying to light the whole world by yourself.

You're simply one of God's sprinkles of light.

And when all of His sprinkles begin speaking what He says, the darkness doesn't stand a chance.

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid."

Matthew 5:14 (KJV)

"Ye are the salt of the earth..."

Matthew 5:13 (KJV)

Let's Pray About It

Father, thank You for choosing ordinary people to carry Your extraordinary light. Forgive us for the times we have stayed silent because of fear, insecurity, or doubt. Give us the courage to speak what You speak, love how You love, and shine wherever You have planted us. Help us remember that we are not responsible for changing hearts; we are responsible for being obedient. Let our words bring hope, peace, encouragement, and truth to those who need it most. May our lives reflect You so clearly that Your light outshines the darkness around us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

If this encouraged your heart today, don't keep it to yourself. Share it with someone who needs to be reminded that they are one of God's sprinkles of light. Someone may be waiting for the very light God has placed inside of you.
